SouthShore can legitimately be called a golfer’s paradise. Meandering through the community is SouthShore Country Club’s Jack Nicklaus-designed championship course. At just under 7,000 yards, it boasts generous fairways, up to five tee boxes per hole, strategic bunkering and forced water and canyon carries to challenge even low handicappers. This par-71 masterpiece is also playable by recreational golfers and herein lies its brilliance. You may even come across our resident herd of Bighorn sheep who sometimes graze along the fairways. Golfers are always guaranteed a stimulating, yet idyllic experience thanks to the nonstop panoramic views and elevation changes.

If that isn’t enough, within five minutes of the SouthShore main gate, golfers can arrive at Reflection Bay – a top public track also designed by Jack Nicklaus that at its inception was consistently ranked as one of America’s top 100 courses. Previously the home club of LPGA touring pro Natalie Gulbis, Reflection Bay is a more open layout than SouthShore but equally challenging, especially from the back tees. Having two absolutely top level golf courses within five minutes of your front doorstep is clearly a major advantage of SouthShore living for golf enthusiasts.
